Found Objects fascinate. And its not just people, there's the crows and I have an indelible image of (I believe) a young chimpanzee that may have been entitled 'the First Zoologist'. I suppose blogs are a flavor of found objects. some of yours, some of theirs and all the fragile connections that make them meaningful. Now - I'm not trying to write a history of the matter of connectivity, or saying things just to say them. And as I write this I realize that I must now track that item down (I think you know which). But, of course that's the purpose, isn't it? To build your pile of interesting pebbles from the stream of your consciousness, not higgeldy piggeldy, but maybe in a somewhat random manner, where you throw them on the pile and then surprise yourself when a pattern you never saw emerges.
So I threw down a pebble here that I am fond of. One that came about because I was trying to explain myself. I have been struggling to find the word for this kind of a visual puzzle or pun. I can't say why I thought of Tout-fait (ready made) and Marcel Duchamp but there it was, and as soon as I steered to Toufait.com, a site dedicated to Marcel Duchamp's incredible world.
I kept thinking of Etoufee a spicy cajun dish and off I went in another direction.
I see I have new tasks at hand such as that tiny simian.
Now I AM jealous another wonderful Duchamp site Someone has built a beautiful timeline. Yow...
